As usual, here's the notes of what's going on, as I have time to update.
Hmmm... Not so much on writing the ChangeLog this year. As of today the display is 100% non-incandescent. All LEDs, plus 40 Xenon strobes. I have LED strobes, but they just don't cut it. But everything else is LED now. I spent the last several days re-stringing all the deer and finished with the dog today. Looks sooooo much nicer. Also updated all the paperwork today, so setup should require a little less guessing next November. I never did last year and had to try to interpret hand written notes. Never easy. Added Rainbow Flood Extremes to the garage door this year. Happy with them so far. Might get a couple more to put inside the bedroom and bathroom windows next year. Also trying to figure out what else I'm doing. Micro Trees? Cover the whole lawn? The whole roof? Another controller? White on the Star? Who knows. I sure don't. There's a closeout sale going thru Jan 8, and a pre-order sale going thru Jan 20. Now is the time to plan. The display seems to be crowded and well received. Fun watching the cameras and seeing the silly (and dangerous) things people do. Extra hours tomorrow night for New Years Eve. Then Sunday is the last day. Don't know if I'll get another song done or not. Nothing on the schedule for tomorrow, so who knows. Teardown starts Monday. :-((((
Blank changelog for the year. Setup started yesterday. The MegaTree frame has been strengthened (1/2" EMT inside the 3/4" PVC) since last year is was bowing and literally creaking under the weight of 6,400 (!) LEDs. Frame assembly yesterday. All the lights are on it toady. Tomorrow comes the 128 cable ties to make it look like a tree. Updated the website a little. Changelog. Local displays. Created a Second Harvest drive in honor of Dave and updated the donations page. Maybe I'll get an early start tomorrow after breakfast. Didn't get outside until 2 today. Bah!
